What is a Digital Vehicle Inspection?

No one likes bringing home bulky paperwork just to leave it on the counter or end up in the trash….we are making it easy with Digital Vehicle Inspections! These Digital Inspections are replacing paper inspections! So what exactly is a DVI (Digital Vehicle Inspection)?

A Digital Vehicle Inspection is an electronic record of your vehicle’s Inspection or as we call it a “Courtesy Check”. It’s almost like a Report Card but for your Vehicle! Our complimentary Courtesy Check, yes it’s FREE, gives you an insight on how well your vehicle is doing whether it’s in great condition, needs future attention, or needs immediate attention all while you are able to see exactly what our team is seeing. Our Digital Vehicle Inspection will be documented with pictures of your vehicle along with documentation of any recommended Services or Repairs based on a Visual Inspection of your vehicle.

In the days before DVI’s, you, the customer, would bring your vehicle in at it’s scheduled time, then our Service Advisor would take a paper copy of our Courtesy Check and write down every aspect of your vehicle prior to it being pulled into our shop. These notes could range from door dents, dings, and scratches to windshield cracks, dash lights, or even broken components on the exterior and interior of your vehicle! Once the vehicle is in the Technician’s Bay, they would then complete the courtesy check with their visual findings, all hand written! Even after all of that documentation, our Service Advisor would then reach out to you and explain the findings and verbally present you an Estimate.

If you, the customer, is working, driving, or not able to answer the phone right away, what happens then? The mechanics would move the vehicle out of the shop and wait to hear the verdict from the customer…not with Digital Vehicle Inspections! With a DVI, the customer can quickly glance through pictures, videos and easy-to-read explanations by our team via text message or email! How cool is that! You, the customer can approve the Repair order so your vehicle is back in your hands sooner!
