Spring Car Maintenance Checklist

The Spring Car Maintenance Checklist

After a season of cold temperatures, your vehicle may need a little extra attention! Here are a few tips to prepare for safe warm weather driving this spring!

  • Schedule an Oil and Filter Change
  • Why is an Oil Change important you might ask? Regularly scheduled Oil changes help maintain a healthy engine! The oil in your vehicle becomes less effective as it ages, if it’s too old, it can not do it’s part by protecting your engine!

  • Have you Battery tested and replaced, if necessary
  • Winter temperatures force your battery to work harder, and it may be time to replace! Avoid the inconvenience of having your car towed into a shop by having your Battery tested and replaced before you are stranded on a hot day.

  • Check Tire pressure and Tread
  • Why bother checking Tire Pressure between the seasons? Fluctuations in temperature also cause changes in Tire Pressure. This a perfect moment to check Tire Tread too! Without sufficient tread, your tires can’t grip the road as intended. With spring time, comes wet weather and your ability to stop quickly.

  • Replace your Wiper Blades and replace the Fluid
  • Your wiper blades are probably hanging on by a thread, especially if they spent time clearing away snow and ice! Perhaps your wipers are smearing, squeaking, or just not getting the job done. Get ahead of the pollen season and the bugs that come with it, by topping off your wiper fluid too!
